Kong Hee Inspires Youth To Be Transformational Leaders

November 9, 2008

7 – 9 November 2008  — “How shall I ask my crush out for a date?” “How can I get better examination results in school?” “Where can I work to get more pocket money?”

These are probably questions faced by many youth living in cities across the world.

While the youth of Heart of God Church (HOGC), located in urban Singapore, are not spared the joys and pains of growing up just like any other young person, many of them have a different mindset toward life as they have been discipled to be “not just leaders of tomorrow, but leaders of today.”

Speaking in HOGC from November 7 to 9, 2008, Kong Hee felt at home. HOGC, led by Rev. Tan Seow How, is strongly affliated to City Harvest Church (CHC), which Kong Hee personally pastors, and it carries the same spiritual DNA—contemporary and relevant to society, while being Spirit-filled and full of faith.

Both churches have two of the fastest growing congregations in Singapore.

Just like how CHC started out, HOGC, birthed in 1996, comprises of many youth today. Starting with group of nine teenagers in 1999, the youth ministry of HOGC now comprises of hundreds of people.

Addressing the capacity crowd of approximately 800 people over three nights in HOGC, Kong Hee challenged the youth to be transformational leaders in schools and in the marketplace.

To do so, they have to be spiritual by treasuring their godly values, while engaging the culture by staying relevant to society and excelling in their schools and workplaces.

Depositing yet another impartation of faith and revelation in HOGC, Kong Hee exhorted the congregation to posture itself for a phenomenal surge of growth.

CHC worship band also ministered to the congregation at HOGC over those 3 days, leading many believers into the presence of God.
